I was listening to this with my brother in my car in 1988 when my mother was dying in the hospital in Minneapolis,mn. We went to my car to smoke a cigarette and by the time we went back to her room she was gone. We will never forget that moment because of this song that was on the radio at the time she left this world. Unbelievable. I miss and love you mother. And I wish you were here with us.

I always cry when listening to Pink Floyd the Wall. My dad would always play this when I was a little girl and would tell me listen to the lyrics and ever since then whenever I hear a song the lyrics are all I listen to. The movie does scare me tho, but the music is so darn good but depressing at the same time I can't help but cry

Lost my mom 2 years ago to drugs. She was 70. Complicated relationship for sure.

Kelly goesrawr - I lost my mother to cancer 40 and-a-half years ago when I was quite young, and she was just 43 years old when she died. I still miss her to this day, and I really wish that I had the opportunity to have known her better, but it seemed that she was either sick in the hospital from her ongoing chemotherapy treatments, or she was simply non-communicative and/or uninterested in talking to me very much at all. Thus, I really feel the sentiments of the song entitled 'Mother' by Pink Floyd, since the song seems to express an emotional void that permanently exists between the singer and his mother, and it is a sentiment that I feel to this day, especially whenever I hear this song.

Timeless...this will definitely be available up here on Youtube until we're all ash. And then someone might discover it after the next evolution in some mud after the next water beings evolve.
