Much love to the children of Africa who were raped, stolen, abused and murdered by the white race. ❤️✌
Hey what is st james infirmary i am from croatia dont know what is pls answer
A public hospital in New Orleans , Louisiana. Where people who died and didn't have anyone to claim them ended up, at the morgue.
This song isnt flowing out of him, it's being pulled out inch by inch from his blue heart. Amazing.
I want this song for the new bioshock
This song could also mean, that he murdered his wife because she's un-faithful then after realizing what he did, he then killed himself.
Life is good sometimes. Getting to listen to music like this at a click of a button.
Dude it doesn't even look like he's moving.
the mood of this song is just perfect. it feels personal, just... damn Louis.
Текст песниI went down to old Joe’s bar roomOn the corner by the square.Well, the drinks were bein' served as usual,And this motley crowd was there.Well, on my left stood Joe McKennedyAnd his eyes were bloodshot red. When he told me that sad story,These were the words he said:I went down to the St. James infirmary,I saw my baby there,She was stretched out on a long white table,So cold, and fine, and fair.Go ahead!Let her go, let her go, God bless her,Wherever she may be,She can search this world overNever find another man like me.Yes, sixteen coal black horsesTo pull that rubber tied hack.Well, it’s seventeen miles to the graveyardBut my baby’s never comin' back.Well, now you’ve heard my story,Well, have another round of boozeAnd if anyone should ever, ever ask you ў‚¬ЂќI’ve got the St. James infirmary blues!
It beats houses' version that's for sure.
Cool jazz!
True class...!
My left ear loved the trombone
Ta'm e guilass.....
Sunsilk x2
Brought me to tears, then made me smile, laugh and motivated me to go on. All in one short track. Legends.
First time i heard this song was the White Stripes cover and it broke my heart. This version broke my soul.
So much feelling, Oh my dog...
best jazz I've ever heard
This is a great song. Love from San Diego !!

O.m.G. what a melody by Jazz Legend - *Louis Armstrong*<3...One and Only...Light & Love...
Imagine if Louis Armstrong lived long enough to do voice acting
Braggin'! 😁
In all of his blues he finds a way to make us laugh... Truly a sad clown...
Fantastic, I know he had a husky speaking voice but I am never sure if he was born with it and it gave him that wonderful vocal sound or he sang like that and it made his voice husky?
NOBODY tops this.
This song is like a slow poison
This white dude equestrian Andrew Deimer said Satchmo was a stupid name. That was the moment I stopped being friends with him. Everything about Armstrong and his music oriented affiliations are absolute perfection and only self absorbed ignorance would say anything about this artist is stupid. #truthTo the new kids, smoke a blunt to turn your minds off, smoke dolo and listen to this without your phones or anything to distract you and you'll get what everyone else is saying. Shit like this is an exquisite rarity.
This song is immortal. Funny enough, I've discovered it thanks to a radio mod for Fallout: New Vegas.
When he says kyekyekyekyekyek

The first part is a lot like that one “Anthem” from Animal Farm. If you listen to it you might be able to see like a connection.
Fantástico!
Gotta say I think I like the 1928 version more
I like how he has to make the point that now that shes dead his woman won't find another man good as him
play this on my funeral.
Louis... the choosen one 👍👍👍👍
Fuck yeah
I love Louis, I have since I was about ten. What a charismatic man.
1 song, 1 verse, a simple stanza, and you could die of the agonizingly exhilarating feeling it bestows. Melancholic, I could feel the blood running through my veins...yet, death ever so close...this music takes me somewhere I can’t tell.
I miss Louis Armstrong and his music.
Perfect
Please , guys. Can you suggest similar songs?
Oh yes ! So many ! Black and blue, Trouble in mind, See see rider, Careless love, Flee as a bird, Just a closer walk with thee, Saint-Louis Blues, etc. Louis Armstrong, New Orleans Jazz, Blues and Soul offer this type of music. Try Back and blue : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LDPUfbXRLM
Who could ever give this a thumbs down? They must have no soul.
...get busy living or get busy crying...
This shits DARRRRRRRRRRK because of the life of the man. that is real blues,it comes from places of brutal hardship and brutal times and cold unforgiving reiltiy.
Sadly, I’m here from an minus8 animation.
Uma preciosidade.
one of the best jazz singers in the world.
Anybody else brought here by Camus?
fuck xxxtentacion this is my depression song
True Detective Season 3 brought me here.
https://soundcloud.com/tripmastermonk/st-pauls-infirmary^this is an amazing arrangement of this song, both give such a chilling feeling. this arrangement is done by one of my favorite artists, and the song is sped up to give a frantic feeling.
do you guys ever think that the reason people in the new generation don’t listen to old music is because the comment sections are always so hateful of the new generations that they just decide, ‘fuck it, they’ll hate me anyways. i’ll listen to whatever i want’
this comment section don't seem do bad. latta cool cats swingin here IMO
"so the boys will know I died standing path!"
Absolutely iconic!
am i the only one who always thought the saddest for the most beautiful
I'm so glad that I found this song. I've been trying to find this song for ages and dammit, this song is so good.
Thank God for New Orleans. Thank God for jazz. Thank God for Louis.
Just been to see the Brighton Marathon at 11am and seen the leader run past - he was really quite handsome! - and the atmosphere is fantastic with all the supporters. Brighton and Hove at its best with all the spectators and makes you forget all the horrendous developments threatened at the King Alfred just along the road - please God they never get built! - just thousands of families and runners enjoying the day in the sunshine. Came home and played this as I love Louis. Such a wonderful sunny day and congratulations to all the amazing runners especially to that man in the rhinocerous suit - hope you made it home.
If you speed this song up, and use the same chord changes, you get Sing, Sing, Sing.
306 people have no blood in their veins
I live in New Orleans, and at night it seems that this music is heard at night in the swamps ...
Kill humanity with insanity

A true American treasure!!!!!
You can literally hear the heroin.
The house that Jack built - Lars Von Trier
Played this song in jazz band too
The pain of life brought me here.....
Now this is a good song, but to make it perfect.. add a plunger to the trumpet. It sounds 👌👌👌
trashfuckin depressing as hell
guys love you if you love this and maybe you'll be amazed by this remix called "clem beatz - so cold so sweet so fair" from a fan who just wants you to be happy :)

C DE LA MERDE
Is this a song that is played for a "Second Line" in New Orleans/Louisiana?If I'm NOLA when I pass away, I want this song for my second line.
Merci Louis, god bless you.
Louis found a gem of a clarinetist
Start this song at the same time as Gary B. B. Coleman's "The Sky is Crying". Trust me.
B R A G G I N
Fabulous. What year was this recorded?
Taste of chery
Is it Sinatra who says ‘quit bragging’?
I have half a hunch that is Jackie Teagarden on Trombone, and that is him calling out Louis for "braggin". And laughing.
i like how he sings and his other songs too! i like this and Cab Calloway's version too!
Jack Teagarden, notable trombonist who at times played with Louis, also made a fine jazz recording of this. Josh White, singer and great guitarist of years ago , has also recorded a super version of this with fabulous acoustic guitar on it. Doc Watson, legendary Old Time folk artist has also done a superb version with marvellous guitar work.
I love those "crying" bone in my left ear
This is great but, for anyone interested, this is the version that made the song famous: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMbRV5d7TeY
I can imagine Dimitri from Sly Cooper singing this.
If your from Louisiana u feel this in your soul from the horns to Satchmo's dramatic voice 💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛
Jacqueline is fucking stupid..
I"m writing about a sad, cold day in November for a writing task, and I think I just found the perfect song to go along with it.
Fabuleux ! aussi fort et émouvant que celui d'Earl Hines !
Sunshine
*_His voice is a time machine. So intimate, it's like he's here in the room. So loving, it's like he is a friend of every one of us. Now: that's the way to be!_*
