This song is really special for me because it has a touching story. I was in a summer maths camp. I met a boy there, love on first sight. He was the most intelligent person that I’ve known for my all life. We spend days together discussing abouth maths, physics, politics, psychology, history etc. Danced together in the cold nights and lay under the stars while telling each other our dreams. It was a delicious meal for my heart and my brain in same time. But we had only two weeks, and i was falling deeper everyday. One night when i was trying to sleep (but cant help thinking anout him) a song that played on spotify ramdomly got my attention. It was this masterpiece. That song catch me in a night when I was craving for just one kiss. Magical moments that cannot he forgotten...

From the ten or so versions of this Kalmar-Ruby-Hammerstein ll classicly clever tune,, I don't think the song came to life until Armstrong's earthy playfulness,melodic/rhythmic inventiveness set the BAR to which the most interesting derivitives pay tribute.Crooning without the ability to BELT the more emotion-packed phrases,climaxing in the high notes that Louis injected just doesn't "grab you",in my opinion.......,although all performances of it are pleasant.

look, a music elitist. We get it, you heard this from your grandpa gramophone and vinyl.funny thing about "reducing this song to a video game" is, that game brought a whole new generation of music listener to Louis Armstrong songs. Basically it brings people who thought jazz is "an old people music" to be a jazz music fans.

I had fallout 2 for christmas 98, i was 13 back then. Internet was still in the stone age and i was living in the deep France country (red neck like but they were eating cheese and drinking vine) so there was no way for me to know who i was listening to back then. So i made something weird, i asked my dad if he knows who was singing! This is how i discovered he was a HUGE jazz/blues fan and had an awesome collection of vinyl and cd's of pretty much everything related to he kept in a chest to make sure they are never damaged. He was stunned to hear Armstrong in a video game (you know parents: video games are dumb bla bla bla) and he started to get a little interested by the subject. As for myself i picked the Armstrong's one to begin and as time goes bye i ended up listening to the whole collection. He passed away 15 years ago but i still have Armstrong and many of his jazz/blues fellows that i bring along to work with me each morning (but in mp3 this time) and sometimes when i'm at home. In fact this game is how i begin to love this kind of music.
