This is unquestionably one of the best if not The best interpretation and performance Cannot listen to any others after this one.Love the tempo...voices.......to paraphrase “Absolutely Fabulous!)

A certain depth is achieved here which I have not heard before in the first piece. Yet, the upper registers are lacking buoyancy and it gets hellish in the rest of the performance. It does not soar as it could. Wooden, staid. No. It falls.

"Et in terra pax". I got completely emotional about this passage starting at 05:43. Heavenly ascending stepwise bass line with bold and passionate suspensions and dissonances sung by top parts. It is a pitty Vivaldi still being a underrated composer. His artistry is stated in many of his compostions as "Concerti con molti stromenti" and its brilliant and colourful orchestration, as well his mad and rocky "Sonata La Folia".

In understand your opinion. But you know, it depends also on which period of latin : the early and late one are so different and the way of speaking even during the Roman Empire was changing between East and West !

@Régis FRANCAIS ok, but the pronounce "EZZELSIS DEO" is terrible :-D However, the Latin of Church has its own rules of pronounce.

I am astounded by the tepid response of the audience in this live-audience performance. This 'Gloria' was most glorious (take it from an Agnostic); was a beautifully performed, videotaped & recoded (for us, YouTube watchers), and I loved the sonority and roundness of the ambient sound which, I guess, was created by the auditorium, the organ & the basses in equal measure. Thank you , the National Orchestra & Choir of Armenia. You were great!
