Am I the only one who came here of Rammstein's song?

So, either this is a story about supernatural elements stealing a child's life and his father being unable to see them or protect him from them, or a terribly ill and delirious child suffering from hallucinations and dying before his father could get help. Either way it's horrifying.

There is also another interpretation, about childabuse. But I am not sure how compatible it is.

We dont whether the father could actually see the erlking, but he seems to be trying to calm the child down but still... so moving😭

@Tee Kanne I heard about that interpretation too: The Erlkönig should be a child abuser and the child doesn't really die physically but only psychologically. If you think about it, it could be a quite reasonable interpretation.

I also heard it is about the process of becoming an adult. The childhood dies and thereby the innocence, and parents can’t stop that process.
