Love, happiness, light and peace to you on this day...🙂
Never before have simpletons and the sophisticated intermingled more than in these comments. This one goes down in the Library of Congress. It separates the intelligent and knowledgeable from the simple minded idiots. Behold.
Call me crazy, but every time I hear this, I think of a peaceful meadow full of mammoths and other prehistoric animals.
I think of Christmas time, and dancing ballerinas.
No Splicera can hurt me. Take that Sander Cohen! Nice waltz tho.
So realistic beautiful ballroom dancing love it Tammy .

when I was 6 years old I remember being in gymnastics at a dance show, they played this song and I was dancing to it . . . I looked at this old man for a second and he closed his eyes . . . The girl next to him was tapping on his shoulder many times . . . He would wake up . . . She started to shake him nothing happend . . . then she started to cry . . . I never saw that man ever again at any of my future shows . . . I only saw the girl . . .
When I listen to this piece, a little part of me says “Cheer up, life isn’t so bad” and I’m truly thankful for that
Wow. I guess Chaikovsky would be happy to know he succeeded making so many people happier even hundred of years after he passed away.
He simply is a genious.

This piece will always be my favorite, and I will always remember that person whom I love and love so much and will continue to love when the first notes play, when the orchestra rises.
I wouldn’t mind being at classical parties like in a Christmas carol
This music makes me imagine myself dancing around in a beautiful field of flowers, barefoot.

Every single day, I am feeling lonely in my family because I have a disabled sister and my brother is playing with his friends. Every single time I listen to this wonderful piece, it brings joy to my soul. I feel bad for people who have never listened to this wonderful piece.

"As for the predecessors of these two, what I would say is that I like playing Bach because it is entertaining to play a good fugue, but I do not acknowledge in him (as others do) a great genius. Handel for me has very much a fourth-rate significance, and in his music there isn't even anything entertaining. Gluck, despite the relative poverty of his creative faculty, I find attractive. I like a thing or two in Haydn's music. However, all these four big shots, Bach, Handel, Gluck, and Haydn are amalgamated in Mozart. He that knows Mozart knows everything that was good about these four, since, being the greatest and most powerful of musical Creators, he did not disdain to take them under his wing, thereby saving them from oblivion. They are like rays which are submerged in the sun that Mozart is""The music of Don Giovanni was the first music which produced a tremendous impression on me. It awoke a holy enthusiasm in me which would later bear fruit. Through this music I entered that world of artistic beauty inhabited only by the greatest geniuses [...] It is to Mozart that I am obliged for the fact that I have dedicated my life to music. He gave the first impulse to my musical powers and made me love music more than anything else in the world"I bow before the greatness of some of his works, but I do not love Beethoven. My attitude towards him reminds me of how I felt as a child with regard to God, Lord of Sabaoth. I felt (and even now my feelings have not changed) a sense of amazement before Him, but at the same time also fear. He created heaven and earth, just as He created me, but still, even though I cringe before Him, there is no love. Christ, on the contrary, awakens precisely and exclusively feelings of love. Yes, He was God, but at the same time a man. He suffered like us. We are sorry for Him, we love in Him His ideal human side. And if Beethoven occupies in my heart a place analogous to God, Lord of Sabaoth, then Mozart I love as a musical Christ. Besides, he lived almost like Christ did. I think there is nothing sacrilegious in such a comparison. Mozart was a being so angelical and child-like in his purity, his music is so full of unattainably divine beauty, that if there is someone whom one can mention with the same breath as Christ, then it is he. [...] It is my profound conviction that Mozart is the highest, the culminating point which beauty has reached in the sphere of music. Nobody has made me cry and thrill with joy, sensing my proximity to something that we call the ideal, in the way that he has [...] In Mozart I love everything because we love everything in a person whom we truly love. Above all I love Don Giovanni, as it was thanks to this work that I found out what music is. Until then (till the age of 17) I had known nothing apart from pleasant Italian semi-music. Of course, whilst I do love everything in Mozart, I won't claim that every minor work of his is a masterpiece. No! I know that any one of his sonatas, for example, is not a great work, and yet I love every sonata of his precisely because it is his – because this musical Christ touched it with his radiant hand.In his chamber music Mozart captivates one by the charm and purity of his facture, by the amazing beauty of his voice leading, but sometimes one does come across things which bring tears to your eyes. I would like to point out to you the Adagio from the G minor quintet. Nobody before or after has expressed so beautifully in music feelings of resigned, helpless grief. When Laubplayed this Adagio, I would always hide in the remotest corner of the hall so that no one could see what effect his music had on me.
what a beautiful & majestic piece of music
these comments are the best 😂
I occasionally come back to this to remind myself why Tchaikovsky is my favourite composer.
