I am not exactly a connaiseur of the arts and have not done much research into musical works such as these. To me "Pas de deux" in this particular work sounds rather sad to me, although according to wikipedia "Pas de deux" is usually the climax in a ballet, where only two people dance with each other. Is it supposed to sound sad in this particular work? If the answer is yes, why?
