Imagine how the composer's mind would be blown finding out there exists a medium where his composition has been listened to over 2 million times, all the while being adored and discussed amongst people who have never met each other.

Man this would have been great in a Kubrick film
Brilliant piece - it has always pained me that he was stone deaf and did not hear his magnificent pieces, but to hear them in his head is incredible to me.

I thought I was born without the ability to experience awe; Until I heard The music of Franz Listz, Bach, and Beethoven. I now can say 100% I can feel music again!
I realize this was uploaded years ago, and that there is not much of a chance I will get a response, but I was wondering what the name is of the picture/painting shown in the video. If anyone could tell me, I would appreciate it. Nonetheless, this is one of my favorite Beethoven pieces, and the 220 people who downvoted this (as of this date) must also hate everything that is lovely and beautiful in this world!
Stay clean u guys ;)
The greatest piece ever
Sublime!

The 3 parts of Egmont Overture are called The Prison, The Fight, and Victory, of Count Egmont's battle in his country against the oppression of the Spanish (Spanish theme in first part). Fighting/tension in 2nd part represented between parts of the orchestra, and key changes, then the triumph of Egmont's life/martyrdom at the end
Absolutely amazing performance! Who is the conductor and which orchestra is playing?
this is true, real Beethoven.
I played this song with a full orchestra on several occasions when I was still in the orchestra. One of my favorite pieces of all time.
This from rusty lake
Great music

I'm in middle school orchestra and we okay this song. Expect we aren't as good and have snares
Hans Zimmer took 2:53 and made it the rousing theme for the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack. Smart.

Me thinking: Can you put hope, frustration, anger, happiness, sorrow, excitement, isolation, defeat and victory all in one piece? Beethoven: Listen to this.
