I read somewhere that Mr S wore a 'onesie' in the sense that his trousers and shirt were stitched together to stop the shirt tail coming out and to stop the shirt front being crumpled during a performance. He does look very sleek and dapper before, during and after an energetic show. It helps your confidence too if you can be totally sure that your flies/zipper are not open.
