OMG: am a 58 year-old pop music fanatic but never heard this version until now

This gets better every time I hear it. What a talent!

I like this song which in a way is like our own life. We are born, grow up, reach maturity and for a while in the summer of our lives we feel great and attain many things but soon comes the autumn of our lives and we begin to decline. And the older we get the shorter the days seem to us and we have the sensation they are precious as there are not many of them left for us.

_There are also very good versions by sarah vaughan and ella fitzgerald.

Sinatra was too young to sing this at the time with any true sincerity but oddly this is more moving than his 1965 SEPTEMBER OF MY YEARS version...Alex Stordal's arrangements are hugely underrated...and Sinatra could & did sing anything better than ANYONE ever....man was a vocal God....!!!

I have this version on 78 RPM. The flip side Time After Time is beautiful also. Did they remaster this one and add reverb? I didn't hear the reverb on the 78, but you couldn't hear much of anything over the surface noise.

This is a GREAT version. Just beautiful singing. An earlier one (I think!) is not nealry so convincing.
