It's been said that the original sketch ideas for *Yellow Submarine* were going to incorporate the band from how they looked in the cartoon show. Going by this clip and its overall looks and feel, it would have been a totally different movie, to say the least. The matching suits and haircuts are completely out of place for this song, and notice how they snuck John's glasses on at 0:21, to show a little bit of an image change?

I once stumbled upon the original sketch ideas, the ones before Heinz Edelmann's, and they looked a little like the Beatles Cartoon ones but verge more into Hanna Barbera territory, all four with their moustaches and John adorning his glasses.
