I was expecting a hard/acid rock screaming song, like "Revolution", but, its a rather quiet song. Weird song. I suppose there is some sort of meaning behind the song.

My beautiful son Cory Sobrio Jr. LOVED this song. He had an autoimmune disease which attacked his eyes. He had numerous retinal reattachments and other procedures done on his eyes, and was told at some point he could go blind. "Take these broken wings and learn to fly" to him meant even with his eye issues he could overcome them and be successful in life and learn to "fly." SORRY....this is NOT the **original** version from the White Album. Probably from a DEMO tape...before the final version was cut. The original album version had McCartney overdubbing his vocals on a second track...plus the ticking sound of a metronome...and the chirping of the blackbird in the background. The **original** version may not be available online right now....because of the < legal matter > with the estate of Michael Jackson. After 50 YEARS....any of McCartney's songs that were purchased by Jackson will automatically revert back to McCartney. The Statute of Limitations will run it's course after 50 YEARS.

I by chance heard this song in the background of a video and I used Shazam to see what song it was. I can't believe I forgot this song. Now I'm crying like a baby, because this song helped me through some really hard times where I thought life just wouldn't get better. God bless these amazing human beings, it really is incredible the impact that they've had generations later.
