I saw them play this Outdoors in 1973. They set off giant smoke machines and just at the point the smoke started to reach the crowd, a wind came up and blew it all over us and blew across the stage. It was so eerie and fantastic. Just a remarkable show, they were perfection.

Its strange that I get into a compelling addictive mode every now and then when I listen to Kashmir and No Quarter alternately on a continous play mode any number of times without ever getting bored and with every listening my appreciation enhances one more step - whether the haunting voice / the haunting synthesizer / the "at the edge" guitaring and the rich drumming. My folks stay away from me at these times as they know I am in a kind of trance state zero disturbance. I watched Robert Plant live at Paris in 2010 - a 75 with a voice of a 25!!
