fun fact: the manson family ranch was in topanga canyon, ca. writing in blood is a reference to the manson murders. lana is a fan of the beach boys, and dennis wilson let the manson family stay in his house for a while before the murders. they got kicked out, and wilson was so scared that manson would kill him that in '83 he jumped off the dock at the MARINA DEL REY.
