Why does the album: ‘Relapse’ (2009) by Eminem get so much hate? I love the darker horror theme to it, pure Slim Shady, it’s brutally beautiful. His accents don’t really bother me, they just signify that’s it’s Slim Shady on that specific track, and Eminem was going through changes through his voice so he used some of those accents to recreate his old Slim Shady voice from: ‘The Slim Shady and Marshal Mathers LP album. I love the psychotic, mentally detached, almost unfunny, borderline creepy, brutally uncaring Shady 2.0. The songs: ‘Medicine Ball,’ ‘Bagpipes From Baghdad,’ ‘We Made You,’ and ‘Crack A Bottle’ are definitely corny songs. But the rest of the album is this perfect mixture of emotionally numb, unpredictable, blood thirsty, psychotic, medication addicted, warped sense of reality, style of ‘horror-core.’ Calm but deadly, Emotions ripped out. Brutally hollow.

Than he goes on to explain how he came in through a window (how the person gained entry into their home) and than explains how she died, by asphyxiation, and a fractured skull -which he than mentions in the next verse. He is literally mentioning a cold case that has never been solved and wrote the song as if he did it…That’s a whole other type of fucked up

With songs like this you can see what a lyrical genius Em is and why he deserves to take his place as an inductee in the 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This man has made the biggest impact on Hip - Hop amd I don't know why you can hate on Em or the Relapse album. Dr Dre and 50 Cent features on the number 1 hit song, "Crack a Bottle" and Dre in "Old Times sake" is phenomenonal. "Taking my Ball" and "We Made You" was so comedic and genius. "Beautiful" and "Careful what you wish for" was so emotional and the first verse of "Beautiful" was written before he was sober. And in "Music Box" you can hear the passion in his voice because he loves Hip Hop so much and wants future rappers to leave it the way he left it when he's gone. It's gonna be a sad day when this man is gone from Hip Hop.

Not the crazy, murderous, drug-addicted Slim Shady, but the smooth vocals, and the slick rhymes, all the while telling a more-or-less fluid story.While he hasn't lost his lyrical ability I'm sure, he does more fast rapping, jumping from subject to subject, with no single coherent story, just a bunch of sometimes hilarious punchlines strung together with a chorus spacing them out.
