This song brings such pain because it came out when I went through my divorce. It seemed to speak to me directly (like it did for hundreds of millions of others, LOL) but I saw my children and ex listening to it one day and realized it belonged to them and not to me. That was especially bitter because my ex discarded me as so many other men are discarded by their wives (70-80% of divorces are by women) and I lost everything-children, home, lover, future, money. Even the help this song brought me was taken.
