But they also had several hits in the 60s and early 70s and were amazing song writers who wrote many hit songs for other artists. Remember Dionne Warwick's Heartbreaker? Franky Valley's Grease? Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton's Islands In The Stream? Yeah, those were all written by the Gibb brother! I have loved them since the 60s and especially their more obscure country songs. Reading the comments, I have so many mixed feelings. There is NO DOUBT the Bee Gees revolutionized the '70's. NO QUESTION. I also feel so deeply for Barry Gibb. That man has suffered more loss than any human should. I am not sure he is up for doing anything with music anymore. Let me explain. I used to sing. I was well-known in certain circles. When my grandmother died (the only person on the planet who meant more to me than anything in the world), I sang at her funeral. It took everything I had to do it. That was 25 years ago, and I just cannot do it anymore. I swore singing off for a while, then I dabbled in it, but it is just not the same. Perhaps Barry is feeling the same thing. I saw the interview where he sang a few notes on request by the interviewer. His choice of notes really spoke to me. His heart is no longer in it, and who can blame him? I cannot imagine the magnitude of his losses. MAYBE, and I mean MAYBE, he can energize himself to help promote a new group from his family members that I hear are trying to hit the stage, but NO ONE SHOULD PUSH HIM. His heartache is so deep....

Samantha Sang the shit out of this song. I think that her and Celine Dion's "Imortality," are the two best female renditions of Beegee's songs with the brothers singing back-up. Can you imagine these young women facing down the writers and singing virtuosos with the responsibility of showing Berry and Robin Gibb that she can outshine/ sing this track over them and to not only keep up, but to put her own stamp of herself on to make it pop. ...Celine Dion is one of the greatest singers on the planet, and she just kills "Imortality." But Samantha Sang's lead on "Emotion" is perfection, and lost in the Beegee mid and late seventies blitz. Best of all she's singing and harmonizing with the Beegees, (probably Andy too) and owning it whilst giving the woman's perspective on what it's like to be in love. Totally changes the tone of the song in my opinion. So anyways, hate off to the totally underrated Samantha Sang
