İşte geldim işte gittim
Yaz çiçeği gibi bittim
Şu dünyada ne iş ettim
Ömürcüğüm geldi geçti
Çağırdılar imam geldi
Herbiri bir işe yeldi
Azrail pençesin saldı
Can kafesten uçtu gitti
İşte geldi yuyucular
Tenime su koyucular
Kefenim elinde hoca
Kefenciğim biçti gitti
Ayırdılar ilimizden
İp attılar belimizden
Pek tuttular kolumuzdan
Can cesetten uçtu gitti
İlettiler mezarıma
Sığındım gani Kerime
Toprak attılar serime
Gözüm yaşı taştı gitti
İmam telkine başladı
Bir sevapçık iş işledi
Komşular bizi boşladı
Geri dönüp kaçtı gitti
Kabrime bir melek geldi
Bana bir sualcik sordu
Hışmedip bir topuz vurdu
Tebdilciğim şaşıp gitti
Teslim Abdal oldu tamam
İşte geldi ahir zaman
Yardımcımız Oniki İmam
Ten türaba karş`tı gitti

When I was 18, I spent time in a village in central Turkey.I bought this cassette and was immeditately in love with this mysterious music. But it got lost.Today, 25 years after, I suddenly recall the name of this song (though I can't speak Turkish at all), search it through Youtube, and here it is !
guadalajara4848 I‘m so happy to read this! This kind of „Music“ is called ,,Deyiş” it reveals a little insight into the Alevi faith culture. And once again it was proven that Music doesn’t need any language to connect...u have to listen the little bit newer version of his son Tolga Sağ. https://youtu.be/miL5B5JRTqM thx for sharing !
@Ahmet Tosun Thank you so much, Ahmet, for your answer, and for this new version. Through his son's version, you can hear more distinctly the saz playing while he is singing. If you have time, I would be very happy to know the translation of a few words from this song, which is so haunting. Greetings from Belgium
@Eric Fraiture First of all sorry for delay Eric and merci for your interest! i wish I could translate this words of passion and the love to human being but my English is not so very well to translate this difficult and deep meaning words. What I can say to you is that some words are describe the love to human being, the love to god also to be a good human to should stay away from malice and treat each other with love. At the center of every “Deyiş” is the human being and the passion to the almighty. Moreover, they remember to be a good person and to follow the right way to be integrity (İnsan-ı kamil). many and kind regards ahmet :)
G’day brother. I loved reading this comment. At the moment i just finished a bottle of turkish raki started pouring from the next bottle. Turned this music on and came across with your comment. These songs are our democracy and freedom. Keep that cassette you have because we dont come across with saz players like this. That cassette will worth a lot later. Love from Australia/Melbourne
Muhtesem bir deyis !
