If you know the bible and the quran, you will realize that the quran is more precise, clear, rational and gives additional informations without changing the overall message.The quran forbids rape without exceptions. You are not allowed to force someone to do something. But you hear people say it doesn't. The quran allows divorce unlike in christianity, because it can happen that people don't like each other after some time. Some say children marriage is allowed in islam. Wrong again! If you wanted to help an orphan girl, she could be part of your household if you married her, but not for sexual practises. You have to treat the orphan as if she was your own child. Today it would be the same as adoption. You are not allowed to start a war, but you can defend your-self, but there are strict rules. You can't harm captives and have to treat them with dignity. Similar rules as in the un declaration. So torture and beheadings of captives are forbidden.The quran just as the bible and the scriptum have also stories which are not in line with our morality today. They are all very similar. But it was another time and situation. People had different believes. You have to put things in context. Muslims were persecuted, stoned and murdered at that time in the middle east just as christians and jews in other areas of the world.

I never understood the fear about Muslims......Christianity and Muslim have more in common than you think. Take the example of the first Old Testament (not the one we have today, after removed so many books of him), Moses, the prophets, only one God...do you even know in teh beginnign we share a lot of books of old testament with muslim?.....please be smart and dont think about muslim people like terrorist, true muslim believers are really peace people, and you would love to talk with them.
