Remember coming home in 2003.... and opening up the gate for my dad( I was wearing the Marine Corps Charlies) who was coming home for lunch. I'll never forget him breaking down with tears of joy when he saw me opening the gate for him. He was having a bad day at work and told me everything changed when he saw me home. He called his work place and said "screw you all" in the nicest way possible, "I'm here with my son who just got back from war".......my pops didn't go back to work that day....and made the baddest cookout for me. I hope one day to return this gesture, hope to see my son meet me and my dad who is due in a couple of months. I love you dad, you're the best, hope I made you proud!

This song is the greatest, and has a lot of sentimental meaning to me. My husband was in the Air Force from 1981 - 2004. Everytime something would happen in the world he was deployed, and I would not know where he was or when or if he would be back, Just waiting for him to step through the door when he luckily always came back was the greatest day. This song was one I listened to a lot during those days. I am proud of him serving and was very proud Air Force wife.
