Excellent minor blues, and the late Luther Allison makes you realize why he was such an outstanding bluesman. He cuts you to the bone with the feeling he puts into it. Actually, I thought he was vastly underrated. I felt he never got the recognition he deserved.

Yep, been a blues fan for as long as I can remember ... then again, in the end, there is a big time connection between blues, real country (like Hank/Hank 3 -- not that commercial stuff of today though), bluegrass, folk, soul and R&R. That's one of the reasons I dig the Black Crowes so much - they touch on it all.

This song portraits such intense emotions, one hopelessly watches the loved one beautifully self-degrading their life. Sometimes love just isn't enough. I think it's a habit of human to dwell on a certain type of sadness/pain...
