I know this piece of music from several singers and they title it as "Nella Fantasia"! Whatever the title-- It is a splendid composition and Hauser knows exactly how to play it with much feeling and perfect precision too!

‘Gabriel’s Oboe was originally written by Ennio Morricone as part of the magnificent theme music to the film The Mission. It became a hit record around the world for many oboeists and other musicians. The famous singer, Sarah Brightman, fell in love with the piece and begged Ennio to allow words to be added so it could become a song. For many years he refused but eventually relented, gave his permission and the lyrics to ‘Nella Fantasia’ were written.

I have just spent an hour listening to other videos of people from all over the world playing different instruments- and NOT 1 of them comes close to how beautiful he (along with the orchestra) plays this. It's my absolute favorite of all.
