@SPeacock cont'd, It's really hard to truly express myself with the limited charactors, lol. As far as acting jobs that were done, Brando vs de Niro, I think they were both phenomenal with a slight edge going to de Niro. Most of his lines were in Sicilian & it was truly Sicilian & not Italian...& his accent was good too. Seeing the older Vito makes you curious about his back story & I think his back story is one of if not the best I've ever seen. I wish it was it's own separate movie.

I don't think I really prefer one over the other. Talking strictly from the character standpoint I really like how older Vito had stuff locked down. I really like how crafty & intelligent he is. He's a guy who is exceedingly good at what he does & is a true patriarch of his crime family & real family. As a younger man, I really like that Vito recognized how things were & what he needed to do to give his budding family (real family & then later his crime family) the best chance of success.
