Song so close to my heart. My ex left me 2 years ago with a broken ankle and back and neck problems just home from the hospital from almost dying. He left me in the biggest building in the huge big city we live in, and not a city known for it's hospitality. Quite the opposite. Having just bought the condo in this building, I didn't know my way around. I was in the very back of the place and unable to drive because of my neck and ankle. He took off with my car anyway. It's so big here that I've had friends CRY because they couldn't find their way out! So there I was, stuck and ditched. I thought for two years it was because I was just too much trouble. I got some help, but if the help wasn't there I was stuck. I call it my "Rapunzel" faze. I felt like I was stuck in a castle. My hair grew past my ass too! The only thing that kept me going was music. A lot of Carrie Underwood too. This album came out towards the end of this time, a few months ago. This song might mean something else to her, or to other people, but these are the exact words to what I went through. Sarcastically I suppose. It turns out that it scared him that I almost died so badly that he couldn't handle it. 2 years and we're still separated. That's a whole other story. There are MANY other stories. This song is just one of them, but it's word for word the exact story. So much that (I use to sing b4 all of this) I'm going to a great teacher to get my voice back and this is what I'm singing first. Nothing else will bring out serious feeling behind the words like this. Nobody could ever sing it like her. Well, I haven't heard ANYONE sing anything like her, but if it doesn't make all the cats in the neighborhood start howling and people refrain from trying to jab their ears with a pitchfork, I'll post it.
